Clara LeGrand

BENTON, Mo. — Clara A. LeGrand, 80, of Benton died Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 28, 1942, in Benton to Denis F. LeGrand and Anita Catherine Dirnberger.

She enjoyed photography, sewing and gardening. She loved family gatherings, especially her sister and cousin trips. She was a supervisor in medical records at Saint Francis Medical Center, retiring after 55 years.

Survivors include brothers, James (Brenda) LeGrand and Michael (Vicki) LeGrand; three sisters, Mary Sater, Bernadette (Carl) Stricker and Rose Angela (Brad) Spears; sister-in-law, Pat LeGrand; nephews, James D. Sater, Matthew LeGrand, Landon LeGrand and Garrett Stricker; nieces, Sandra Wilson, Michelle Scherer, Pamela Landeros, Jeannette Florek, Angela Christian, Laura DeJournett, Katie Broch and Rachel Spears; and many great-nieces and -nephews.

Clara was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Denis J. LeGrand; and brother-in-Law, James Sater.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Benton.

Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, with the Rev. Daniel Belken officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to St. Denis Catholic Church.
