MOREHOUSE -- Graveside service for Clara Curry of Duluth, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bloomfield Cemetery in Bloomfield. The Rev. James Martin will officiate.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse after 9 a.m. today.
Curry, 83, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998, at her home.
She was born Dec. 7, 1914, in Dover, Ark., daughter of John and Hester Samuels Purvis. She and Alva Berdine Curry were married Sept. 22, 1934. He died Jan. 5, 1965.
Formerly of Bell City, Curry lived in Arkansas from 1965-86, and in Duluth the past 12 years.
Survivors include a son, Bill Curry of Morehouse; a daughter, Dorothy Cox of Duluth; two sisters, Isabell Bradford of Duluth, Hila Newton of Meridian, Calif.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two children.
