Christy Mathey

GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Christy LaVonne Mathey, 50, of Glenallen died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at her home.

She was born Jan. 14, 1956, in Savanna, Ill., daughter of Wallace and Etta Hertensen Deets. She and David Lee Mathey Sr. were married Feb. 5, 1975, in Tustin, Calif.

Mathey had been a salesclerk at Dollar General Store and Country Mart in Marble Hill, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, David Mathey Jr. of Glenallen, Brian Mathey of Marble Hill; her parents of Marble Hill; a brother, Robert Deets of Marble Hill; two sisters, Laurie Robison of Saline, Mich., Angela Haggard of Marble Hill; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson.

A memorial service will be held at noon Feb. 18 at Old Trace Creek Baptist Church near Glenallen. The Rev. Paul Graham will officiate.

Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill is in charge of arrangements.
