Funeral for Christine Allison Zimmerman of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Cy Smith will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the chapel Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.

Zimmerman, 92, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 18, 1906, at Portageville, daughter of Chris and Mary Jeanette Gilbow Glueck. She first married Robert Allison Feb. 3, 1923, at Portageville. He died in 1945. She later married Burette Zimmerman in 1954 in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1973.

Zimmerman was a member of Maple United Methodist Church, VFW Post 3838 Auxiliary, and Eagles Aerie 3775 Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, Paul Allison of Cape Girardeau, Harold Allison of Huntsville, Ala.; four daughters, Dorothy Bridwell of Greers Ferry, Ark., Victoria Clay of Cape Girardeau, Monica Cobb of Belton, and Ruth Wilson of Spokane, Wash.

Also surviving are three stepdaughters, Judy Hancock of Anna, Ill., Barbara Huffman of Bradley, Ill., Glenda Schaffner of Hawk Point; two sisters, Alma Randolph of Union, Lillian Gilbert of Clarksville, Ark.; 35 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, two daughters, a stepson, two stepdaughters, five brothers, and five sisters.
