Christine "Susie" Nelson, 84, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1918, at Bertrand, Mo., daughter of Orville and Gladys M. Fields Bridges Garner. She and Amos S. Nelson were married Sept. 4, 1946, in Bemidji, Minn.
Christine was a graduate of Central High School. She was an insurance secretary many years. She was a member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Connie Copsy of Cape Girardeau, Christie Middleton of Dallas, Texas, Kim Crouch of Aberdeen, Md.; a brother, R.C. Garner of Fort Myers, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jerald A. Nelson, and a daughter, Donna Burkett Ritter.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, conducted by Dr. James Zink and Randy Satterfield. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Jim Goggin, Jim Palmer, Mike Middleton, David Crouch, David Copsy and Jason Copsy.
