CHAFFEE -- Christine Helen Shelton, 76, of St. Louis, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Dec. 24, 1916, in St. Louis, daughter of Joseph and Angelia Burkemper Sommer. She and John Martin Shelton were married Oct. 19, 1951. He died July 22, 1977...

CHAFFEE -- Christine Helen Shelton, 76, of St. Louis, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at Alexian Brothers Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 24, 1916, in St. Louis, daughter of Joseph and Angelia Burkemper Sommer. She and John Martin Shelton were married Oct. 19, 1951. He died July 22, 1977.

Shelton was a retired dietary aide at Cardinal Glennon Hospital in St. Louis.

Survivors include three sons, Phillip Keipp of St. Peters, Donald Keipp of Murphysboro, Ill., Elmer Keipp of Auxvasse; three daughters, Barbara Clark of St. Charles, Christine Barbour of Manhattan Beach, Calif., Mary Stack of St. Peters; a stepson, John Shelton of Lemay; two sisters, Marie Witeka and Ida Brandhorst of St. Louis.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Deacon David Coon will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
