JONESBORO, Ill. -- Christine Bost, 76, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2003, at Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.
She was born June 16, 1927, in Jonesboro, daughter of Clarence A. and Virgie Bass Tweedy. She and Elmer R. Adams were married Aug. 26, 1946. He preceded her in death.
Bost was a beautician 30 years at Elgin State Hospital. She was active at Larken Avenue Baptist Church in Elgin, Ill., and after moving back to Jonesboro was active at Jonesboro United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Toni Koppen of The Village, Fla.; three brothers, Clarence Tweedy Jr. of Goreville, Ill., Richard Tweedy of Atlanta, Ga., Mike Tweedy of Harlingen, Texas; three sisters, Joan Bartruff of Anna, Carol Gordon of Lindenhurst, N.Y., Janice Strew of Elgin; and a granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Fear officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
