Christine A. Haman, 96, of Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Jan. 30, 1896, at Alton, the daughter of Mason and Fannie Jane Sifford Minnich. On Dec. 24, 1919, she married Elmer "Ham" Haman in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 1972...

Christine A. Haman, 96, of Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Feb. 1, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Jan. 30, 1896, at Alton, the daughter of Mason and Fannie Jane Sifford Minnich.

On Dec. 24, 1919, she married Elmer "Ham" Haman in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 1972.

She was a former school teacher at Malden, Marble Hill and Koshkonong and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau; the Cape Girardeau Garden Club; the American Legion Auxiliary; the American Rose Society; the Wednesday Club; and St. Francis Medical Center Auxiliary.

Survivors include a son, M. William Haman of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Dorothy Lou Juden Baker of Oklahoma City, Okla; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and six great, great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, where funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Neil Stein will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
