CHRISTINA ENDERLE

CHAFFEE -- Christina Regina Enderle, 86, of Chaffee died Saturday, Aug. 21, 1999, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 25, 1912, at Benton, daughter of Joseph and Rose Wiedefeld Backfisch.

She and Andrew J. Enderle were married Aug. 13, 1938. He survives.

Enderle was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg and the St. Ann Sodality.

Other survivors are three sons, Orville Enderle and Ralph Enderle, both of Chaffee, and Melvin Enderle of Scott City; three daughters, Jo Ann Compas of Johnston City, Ill., Doris Eftink of Oran and Kay Watkins of Scott City; four sisters, Clara Glastetter and Bertha Glastetter, both of Scott City, Johanna Schwartz of Chaffee and Ann Brockmire of LeMay; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in New Hamburg, with the Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 o'clock and parish prayers at 7:30.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Schumacher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee is in charge of arrangements.
