Chris Scharenborg

Christopher Romaine Scharenborg, 56, of Jackson passed away Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, at his home.

He was born July 3, 1964, in Cape Girardeau, son of Wilfrid John "Bill" and Kay Kathleen Seibel Scharenborg.

Chris was a former member of the Cub Scout Pack No 212, Boy Scouts of America Troop No. 11, and an Eagle Scout, earning the bronze, silver and gold palms. He was a 1983 graduate of Jackson High School and was an active member of the drama club.

Chris was of the Catholic faith and was a trustworthy, honest and dependable person with a big heart.

Loving survivors include a sister, Becky Scharenborg; and niece, Christina Scharenborg, both of Jackson. Also surviving are several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, John G. and Francis A. Scharenborg and Walter and Mildred Seibel.

The family has entrusted McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson with Christopher's final arrangements. There will be no services at this time. The family may announce a celebration of life at a later date and time.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson to aid with Chris's final expenses or to Boy Scouts of America.
