Chester Wesley Campbell, 88, of 2716 Bloomfield Road, died Sunday, May 1, 1994, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 21, 1905, at Canalou, son of George Moore and Hattie Ann Lancaster Campbell.
He married Norma Robins, Oct. 15, 1926.
Campbell was a retired farmer. He later worked as a janitor at the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau. He was a former member of the Delta First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lynuel Campbell of Kimberling City, Wesley Campbell of Cape Girardeau; three daughters, Enid Schearf of Delta, Betty Lincecum and Judy Schearf, both of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Raymond Campbell of Coffeeville, Kan., Arlen Campbell of Bomcombe, Ill., Roy Campbell of Peoria, Ill.; two sisters, Pearl Hazel of Granada Hill, Calif., Ester Nischan of Antioch, Ill., 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-granddaughters and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mitchell Jackson officiating.
Burial will follow in Old Morley Cemetery.
