She and Victor Macke were married May 10, 1967. She and Tom Edmonds Sr. were married July 11, 1983. He passed away April 24, 1997...

Charlotte Gale Edmonds, 70, of Cape Girardeau passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Life Care Center.

She was born Jan. 10, 1941, at Neelys Landing, to William "Bill" and Daisy Dunn McClard. She and Victor Macke were married May 10, 1967. She and Tom Edmonds Sr. were married July 11, 1983. He passed away April 24, 1997.

She was most recently employed in private house-keeping and at the Cash Book Journal newspaper in Jackson. She previously worked in housekeeping at Holiday Inn in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include a son, Scott Macke of Burfordville; four daughters, Kathy (David) Borgfield and Vickie (Dennis) Ruch of Millersville, Karen L. McClard of Jackson, Donna (Doug) Craft of Sedgewickville, Mo.; a sister, Zelma "Shorty" Loenneke of Patton, Mo.; and a brother, Donald (Ellen) McClard of Jackson; 11 grandchildren, Stacey Chicora, Brandy Boyd Meyer, Joshua Boyd, Hanna and Heather Craft, Ethan and Cory Ruch, Victoria Smith, Cody Moore, Trisha Camp, Justin Borgfield; and 10 great-grandchildren, Mason Keith, Amaris "A.J.", Phoenix and Stella Chicora, Grant Meyer, Emma Boyd, Kaden and Tristen Borgfield, Madison Camp and Phillip Smith.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Gene McClard, in 1957.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Krohe officiating.

Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
