Charlotte Elizabeth Bertrand Dunn of Cape Girardeau left this Earth surrounded by her family Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born Dec. 24, 1927, to Frank and Zetta Essner Bertrand of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Alvin Dunn of Whitewater; a sister, Georgia Mae Haman of Cape Girardeau; and a brother, William Alvin Bertrand of Cape Girardeau.

She is survived by three daughters, Linda Cook (Bill) of Keller, Texas, Ruth Glastetter (Mark) of Chaffee, Mo., Rosezetta Moyers (James D.) of Cape Girardeau; and a son, Alvin William "Bill" Dunn of Cape Girardeau; brothers and sisters, Bob Bertrand of Harrisburg, Pa., and Cape Girardeau residents Frank Charles Bertrand, Harry Bertrand, John Bertrand, Lorraine Eaton, Ronnie Bertrand, and Shirley Schmidt.

Grandchildren include Nathan Cook of Keller, Ryan Cook of Plano, Texas, Dustin Craig of Flowery Branch, Ga., Stacee Moyers of Whitewater, Chris Moyers of Cape Girardeau, Ryan, Jeremy, Haley and Kaitlin Glastetter of Chaffee; four great-grandchildren, Nick Cook of Plano, Dusti, Austin and Dustin Jr. Craig of Flowery Branch.

Prior to passing, she received full last rites and all the blessings of the church by the Rev. David Hulshof of St. Vincent de Paul. She attended both St. Vincent de Paul and Old St. Vincent's Church.

She was an avid supporter of the Old Town Cape Merchants Scholarship Garden and her charity work included making and contributing baby and comfort blankets to the pediatrics ward of Southeast Missouri Hospital.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 7.

The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Hulshof officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to the Charlotte Elizabeth Bertrand Dunn Student Loan Fund. Checks should be made out to Southeast Foundation, Southeast Missouri State University, One University Plaza, MS 3700, Cape Girardeau, Mo., 63701. The memo line must indicate Charlotte E.B. Dunn.
