CHARLOTTE D. MATTHEWS

SIKESTON -- Charlotte D. Matthews, 78, of Sikeston, died at her home Friday, Dec. 9, 1994.

She was born Sept. 19, 1916 in Sikeston, daughter of Charles E. Dover and Kathleen Druelinger Dover.

She married Glenn A. Matthews Jr. Jan. 1, 1937 in Jonesboro, Ill. He survives.

She was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston.

She is survived by a son, Glenn A. Matthews, III, of Sikeston; two daughters, Paula Slicker of Bentonville, Ark., and Kathy Jones, of Broken Arrow, Okla; two sisters, Mary Ancell of Sikeston and Dorothy Ferguson of Belleville, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Howard Matthews, and a sister.

Service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Msgn. William Stanton, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
