Charlotte Ann Welker Corey entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020.
She was born to Don Welker and Margaret Lincoln Melvin on March 3, 1953, in Cape Girardeau. She was married to Everett Corey on Oct. 4, 1987, in Cape Girardeau.
Charlotte was a certified nursing assistant during the 1980s, but had to quit due to health issues. She was an avid gardener who also adored animals. The true love of her life was her family.
She is survived by a son, Tony (Toni) Welker; daughter; Danea Johnson; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Chelsie, Tim, Grace, Madison, Lydia, Emma, Tucker, Kooper and Rhemi; brother, Jack Welker of Jackson; and sister, Madonna (James) West of Cape Girardeau.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Homer Mouser; and an infant sister, Therese Mouser.
Graveside service will be at noon Wednesday, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
Memorials may be given to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
