PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Charlie Duff, 85, of Portageville died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2003, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 22, 1918, in Lyon County, Ky., son of Jessie Hobert and Madie Ann Collins Duff. He and Mary Frances Durbin were married Nov. 30, 1940, in Portageville.
Duff was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Robert "Bob" Carter of Portageville, Rita and Russ Friedewald of Riverton, Ill., Teresa and Bill LeGrand of Kelso, Mo., Kim and Dwight Tanksley of Cape Girardeau; a son-in-law, James Blowers of Lexington, Tenn.; a sister, Alita Perkins of California; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-stepgrandchildren; and seven grandchildren-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Mary LaWanda Blowers; a brother, J.C. Duff; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Eustachius Church, with the Rev. Allen Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
