DONGOLA, Ill. -- Charles "Charlie" Cox, 59, of Dongola died suddenly Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, in Jasper County, Ind.
He was born May 14, 1941, in Union County, Ill., son of Charley and Lena Smith Cox. He and Nancy Lingle were married Nov. 11, 1961.
Cox was a truck driver with Florsheim Shoe Co. 28 years, and was currently a driver with USF Holland. He was a member of Teamsters Local 574.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Rhonda Duty of Dongola; a son, Kevin Cox of Dongola; twin sister, Charlotte Graham of Jonesboro, Ill., a sister, Norma Witt of Elwood, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and an infant brother.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery.
