SIKESTON, Mo. -- Charley Bell Jr., 93, of Sikeston died Thursday, June 21, 2001, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 8, 1907, in Little Rock, Ark., son of Charley and Lillie Bell Sr. He married Katie Ray. She preceded him in death.
Bell was a retired farmer, and had lived in Missouri more than 50 years.
Survivors include a son, Carl Bell of Fresno, Calif.; six grandchildren, including Bill Bell of Cape Girardeau, whom he raised from birth; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Travelers Missionary Baptist Church after noon Wednesday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with Elder David Pullen officiating. Burial will be in Smith West-End Cemetery.
