CHARLES WILSON SHORT

JACKSON -- Charles Wilson Short, 90, of Jackson died Thursday, April 20, 1995, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

He was born March 29, 1905, in Jackson, son of Charles Lucius and Jeffie Slack Short. He married Viola Windeknecht Aug. 29, 1934, in Jackson.

He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church and later the First Presbyterian Church at Jackson. He was a farmer and retired shop teacher from Cape Girardeau Central Junior High School.

Survivors include his wife; a sister, Helen Wilkens of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Grant Gillard will officiate with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
