JACKSON -- Charles W. "Butch" Neumeyer, 84, of rural Jackson, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1993, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born July 17, 1909, near Tilsit, son of William and Mary Bohnsack Neumeyer. He and Nora Mantz were married Nov. 28, 1937.
Neumeyer worked on the family farm all his life. He was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church at Gordonville, and member of its Adult Bible Class.
He was a former trustee of the church administration board and cemetery trustee, and had served on the boards of Farm Bureau, Co-Op Service Center, Cape County Shippers Association and Tilsit School. He also had been an ASCS committeeman.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gerald and Glenn Neumeyer of Jackson; a daughter, Brenda Neumeyer of Jackson; two sisters, Melba Deneke of Gordonville, Martina Fluegge of Cape Girardeau; a foster sister, Esther Godwin of Midland, Texas, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zion Church. The Rev. Tom Gross will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today, and 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday.
