CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Charles Judson Varble, 83, of Chaffee died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
He was born May 26, 1919, at Chaffee, son of Alfred Poe and Fannie Bell Jones Varble.
He was a retired clerk for the General Services Administration in St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee and the Chaffee VFW Post 3127.
Survivors include one sister, Velma Huey of Springfield, Mo., and one stepdaughter, Regina Curcio of Imperial, Mo.
He was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Monday.
The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. John Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
