EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Charles W. Tucker, 83, of Sikeston, Mo., and formerly of East Prairie, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at the Clearview Nursing Center.
He was born July 20, 1918 in Farrenburg, Mo., son of Charles C. and Betty Lou Hazel Tucker.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Tucker served in World War II. He was a retired security guard and a self-employed mechanic.
Survivors include a son, Thomas G. Tucker of Cocoa, Fla.; a daughter, Karen J. Howard of Bethalto, Mo.; a brother, Theodore Tucker of Sikeston; three sisters, Mayola Connelley of Sikeston, Laura Douglas of East Prairie, and Mildred Rose of Crown Point, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery with Shelby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
