MARBLE HILL -- Charles Robert Davis, 70, of Pevely, died Friday, Feb. 28, 1992, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus.

He was born Oct. 21, 1921 near Advance, son of Leo and Mamie Wishon Davis.

He was a retired automotive mechanic and a veteran of World War II, having served in the Air Force.

Surviving are four sons, Clifton and Larry Davis of Marble Hill, Wayne Davis of Baltimore and Donald Davis of Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Gene Davis of Pevely and Sonny Davis of Foley; two sisters, Margaret Cornish of Princeville, Ill., and Hazel Drum of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.

Two brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home in Marble Hill today.

Service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mount Zion General Baptist Church near Marble Hill with the Rev. Phillip Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
