ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Charles Joseph Restoff Sr., 74, of Alto Pass died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at his home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1926, at East St. Louis, Ill., son of Joseph F. and Mary Waligorski Restoff Sr. He and Patricia C. Robinette were married July 3, 1948, at East St. Louis.
Restoff retired as a car inspector for the Illinois Central Railroad, serving for more then 34 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Carl Restoff of Dallas, Texas, and Charles Restoff Jr. of Virginia Beach, Va.; four daughters, Jane Lovins of Bragg City, Mo., Rita Bell of O'Fallon, Ill., Rosemary Farm-Bellows of Lavon, Texas, and Patricia Yates of West Frankfort, Ky.; two brothers, August Restoff of Okawville, Ill., and Joseph Restoff Jr. of Fairview Heights, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Alto Pass.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Federico Higuera officiating. Burial will be at Alto Pass Cemetery, with graveside military honors by the Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 of Anna.
