DEXTER -- Charles "Chuck" Putman, 35, of Dexter, drowned Friday, July 28, 1995, near Bloomfield.

He was born Oct. 19, 1959, in Chowchilla, Calif., son of Richard D. and Betty Britton Putman. He and Susan Williamson were married July 20, 1993, in Piggott, Ark.

Putman moved to Dudley in 1988 from Corning, Ark., and then to Dexter in 1990. He was a farm laborer with Max Rinehart Farms.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Jessica Putman of Ocoee, Fla.; two sons, Bradley and Adam Putman of Ocoee; a stepdaughter, Kasie Williamson of Dexter; his father of Fairdealing; his mother and stepfather, Betty and Chester Cobb of Datto, Ark.; four brothers, Bill and Richard Putman of Dudley, A.C. Putman of Memphis, Tenn., Ronnie Putman of Oxley, and a sister, Paula Williamson of Corning.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Doyle Corlew and Robert Brodrick officiating. Burial will be in Triplett Cemetery near Dexter.
