Charles Pruitt

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Charles "Davy" Pruitt, 36, of Sikeston died Sunday, July 14, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 16, 1965, in St. Louis, son of David Levi and Nancy Ann Gilliland Pruitt. He and Kathy Fauss were married Aug. 25, 1989.

Pruitt was a drafting engineer. He was employed at Bowen Engineering and Surveying Inc. in Cape Girardeau. He worked 10 years at Missouri Department of Transportation in Sikeston.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Payne Pruitt of Sikeston; a daughter, Amber Pruitt of Sikeston; his mother of Morley, Mo.; a brother, Ronnie Pruitt of Sikeston; a sister, Kerrie Swain of Chaffee, Mo.; and paternal grandmother, Grace Horrell of Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 5 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Jim Simmons officiating.
