SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Charles Patrick White, 76, of Granite City, Ill., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The Rev. William Dickey will officiate. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from noon until time of the service.

He died Friday, May 22, 1998, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born Jan. 27, 1922, at St. Louis, son of Charles and Edna Miller White.

He married Charlcie Baker on Sept. 23, 1967, at Granite City.

He worked as an oiler for Cargill Carriers.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters, Roxie A. White Payne of Cottage Hills, Ill., and Phyllis Nieland of Bethalto, Ill.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
