EAST PRAIRIE -- Charles Roy Nunn, 75, of East Prairie died Thursday, June 24, 1999, at the East Prairie Nursing Center.
He was born March 3, 1924, in Anniston, son of John Bryant and Prenecie Edna Williamson Nunn. He married Daisy Marshall Allen on Sept. 14, 1946, in Hernando, Miss.
He had lived in Mississippi County all his life. He was a retired farmer and a Baptist. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife; three sons, Gary, Glenn and Greg Nunn, all of East Prairie; four daughters, Regina Weakley, Renissa Stokes, Betsy Bailey and Sandy Newsome, all of East Prairie; three sisters, Vivian Finley of East Prairie, Margaret Barker of Affton and Vertie Weeks of Dongola, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Shelby Chapel, with Brother Burl Britt of the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie officiating.
Burial will be at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
