Charles Virgil Miller, 90, of Scott City died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 6, 1913, at Anna, Ill., son of Eugene and Anna Ingraham Miller. He and Anna Rovina Halter were married Aug. 24, 1957, and she died Sept. 1, 1972.
He was a deckhand on a towboat and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo., and VFW Post 6407 in Scott City.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin presiding. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
