WATERLOO, Ind. -- Charles Merrill Jackson, 82, of Butler, Ind., died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1993, at the V.A. Hospital in Indianapolis, Ind.
He was born Sept. 5, 1911, at Simpson, Ill., son of James and Maryann Jackson.
He married Katheryn Berry, May 20, 1980, at Pigott, Ark. She died June 28, 1990.
Jackson retired from working at Ball Brass and Aluminum Foundry in Auburn, Ind., in 1969.
He was a member of the Butler American Legion, the Waterloo VFW and the Hamilton Fish and Game Club.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Price of Waterloo, Marvin Jackson of Hamilton, Ind.; five daughters, Mary Ervin of Zeigler, Ill., Donna Harris, Ruby Patrick and Kathy Abell, all of Butler, Ind., Judy Patrick of Bryan, Ohio; a brother, Loren Jackson of Advance; 19 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, eight brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. today at the Feller Funeral Home in Waterloo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Feller Funeral Home in Waterloo, with the Rev. Richard Kraus officiating.
Burial will follow in the Waterloo Cemetery.
