ORAN, Mo. -- Charles Allen McClain, 69, of Oran died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at the Miner Nursing Center in Miner, Missouri.
He was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Chaffee, Missouri, the son of the late Myrtle May Hubbard and Millard Allen McClain.
Charles retired as a lacer with Florsheim Shoe factory in Cape Girardeau.
He had battled cancer for over three years. He fell and broke his hip and was in the hospital for nine days and in the nursing home for three days. But he gave his heart to Jesus, and he is at home in Heaven.
Charles is survived by a brother, Bennie McClain of Oran; four sisters, Audria Hosentfeld of Oran, Linda Cole of East Prairie, Missouri, Doris Baker of Brookport, Illinois, and Darlene Brooks of Oran.
He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Doyle Gene and Andie McClain.
Friends may call from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
A graveside service will follow at Fairview Cemetery near Arbor, Missouri, with the Rev. Brian Flannigan officiating.
