Charles D. Masterson, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born June 25, 1921, at Kennett, son of the Rev. E.E. and Eva Floyd Masterson. He and Margaret Meador were married May 18, 1940, at Clarkton.

Masterson was a former manager of Ralph Distributing Co. at Sikeston. He was a charter member of Kennett VFW, and attended Second General Baptist Church at Dexter. He was a former resident of Dexter.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Larry Masterson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Bonnie Brown of Kansas City; a brother, Enoch Masterson of Blytheville, Ark.; two sisters, Betsy Walken of Kennett, Mildred Glover of Banning, Calif.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phil Warren officiating. Burial will be in Dexter Cemetery.
