Charles Edward Markland Jr., 62, of Scott City died Sunday, July 3, 2022, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born May 21, 1960, in Centerville, Illinois, to Charles Edward and Charlene Moore Markland Sr. He married Rebecca Caldwell on May 26, 1979.
He was owner/operator of Bit-Mat Products in South Bend, Indiana.
Charles is survived by his wife, Rebecca of Scott City; three daughters, Candace (Nick) Kreighbaum of Richmond Hill, Georgia; Jessica Jones of Scott City; and Casey (Mitch) Cambrin of Fayetteville, North Carolina; brother, Chris (Kim) Markland of Cape Girardeau; sister, Cheryl (Mike) Cutright of Scott City; eight grandchildren, Taylor (Jack) Allen, Ryley and Nicholas Kreighbaum, Alexander and Cheyenne Jones, Haleigh, Makenzie and Wyatt Cambrin; and a great-grandson, Oakley John Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Curtis Markland.
Services will be held at a later date.
