SIKESTON -- Charles Leroy Walker, 41, of Sikeston died Tuesday, March 5, 1991 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis.
He was born Jan. 3, 1950 in Detroit, son of the late Gwendolyn Adeline Luken Walker and Charles Leroy Walker of Wayne, Mich.
He is also survived by his step-mother, Nancy Walker of Wayne Mich.
He formerly worked as a mechanic for Big Red's Auto Salvage in Bloddgett. He served in U.S. Army and was a member of the V.F.W. post in Sikeston.
He attended North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston.
On May 19, 1968 in Howell, Mich., he married the former Sharon Dawn Turner. She survives.
Other survivors are four daughters, Rebecca McCurdy, Houston, Texas, Crystel Garner, Dexter, Jodie and Diana Walker, of the home; three sisters, Linda Allison, Taylor, Mich., Gloria Mackiewicz, Westland, Mich., and Jill Walker, Wayne, Mich.
Friends may call from 5-9 p.m. today at North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston.
The body will then be taken to the Vermeulen Memorial Funeral Home in Westland, Mich. for funeral service Monday.
Burial will follow in Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia, Mich.
