CHARLES L. BRUCE

ADVANCE -- Funeral service for Charles Leon Bruce of Lula, Ga., was held March 31 at McGahee-Griffin Funeral Chapel in Cornelia, Ga. The Rev. Jerry Steeves officiated, with burial in Level Grove Cemetery in Cornelia.

Bruce, 56, died Sunday, March 28, 1993, at his home.

He was born Jan. 4, 1937, at Arbor, son of Cecil and Trula Croy Bruce. He and Marie Teneh were married in May 1984 at Cornelia.

Bruce attended Advance High School and served 6 years in the U.S. Air Force. He was an over-the-road truck driver 10 years, and was a truck driver for the government three years.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Christopher Bruce of Hopkinsville, Ky.; his mother, Trula Shull of Advance; two brothers, Virgil Bruce and Craig Shull of Poplar Bluff.
