Charles Edward Klueppel, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 6, 2024, in his home in Benton.
Charles loved God, his family, friends and community. He was a man of faith, integrity, generosity and service. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and had a passion for farming.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 60 years, Angela Kluesner Klueppel; four daughters, Sandi (Mike) Hulshof of Oran, Linda (Kendall) Bunselmeyer of Ava, Illinois, Cheryl Klueppel of Benton and Diane Klueppel of St Louis; seven grandchildren, Brent (Bailey) Hulshof, Derek (Shelby) Hulshof, Katie Bunselmeyer, Brandon Hulshof, Kara Bunselmeyer, Kelly Bunselmeyer and Kylie Bunselmeyer; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Sophia and Eleanor, and two expected soon; brother, Joe Klueppel of Benton; and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Dorothy Scherer Klueppel Sr.; brother, Frank Klueppel Jr.; and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., with rosary and prayers at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10, at St. Denis Parish Center in Bentonand from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at St. Denis Catholic Church. Burial, with full military honors, will be at the church cemetery.
