ROCKVIEW -- Charles Javis Green, 80, of Rockview, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1993, at his home. He was born April 15, 1913, at Kennett, son of Carl and Ethel Green. ROCKVIEW -- Charles Javis Green, 80, of Rockview, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1993, at his home.

He was born April 15, 1913, at Kennett, son of Carl and Ethel Green. He and Ida Zola Tucker were married Nov. 13, 1935.

Green was a section hand with Cotton Belt Railroad, retiring 18 years ago. He was a member of Church of Christ in Advance.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Javis Green of Rockview; a daughter, Margie Bucher of Rockview; a brother, Joe Green of Rose Bud, Ark.; a sister, Inez Mosley of Michigan; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Christ in Advance. Minister Billy Davis will officiate, with burial in Tilman Cemetery near Advance.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 5:30 p.m. today.
