Charles Hinkle

ROCKVIEW, Mo. -- Charles "Bob" Hinkle, son of the late Elmer and Etta Miinch Hinkle, was born March 15, 1937, in Chaffee, Missouri, and departed his life Monday, June 13, 2022, at his home in Rockview at the age of 85 years.

On Sept. 5, 2004, he was united in marriage to Carolyn McMullin in Chaffee. She preceded him in death.

Charles was a 1955 graduate of Chaffee High School, a former union pipefitter for many years, and a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Robert Hinkle Jr. of Jackson and Douglas Hinkle (Janie) of Chaffee; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Burger of Jackson; stepson, Dennis (Sandi) Mills of Scott City; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Diebold, Derek Miller, Jordan Anderson, Andrew Hinkle, Garrett Mills, Maranda Mills, Douglas Hinkle Jr., Valerie Hinkle, Laura Nash and Steven Menz; and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife and parents, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Cletus and John Hinkle, and a sister, Zora Marie Rothermich.

Memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
