Charles Ben Hale, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 27, 2012, at his home.
He was born June 18, 1925, in Fredericktown, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. Noah Hale.
Charles was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Florsheim Shoe Factory for 43 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of Eagles Aerie No. 3775 in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela L. (Michael) Revelle of Cape Girardeau; a son, Verlan C. (Naomi) Hale of Jackson; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel with an Eagles Aerie No. 3775 service at 7 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ed Stoner officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with full military honors by Missouri Honor Guard.
