TAMMS, Ill. -- Funeral service for Charles H. Miller of Tamms will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Cairo. The Rev. Jesse Hendrix will officiate, with burial in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Miller, 76 years old, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born March 2, 1914, in Cairo, son of Charles H. and Iva Myrtle Gibson Miller.

Miller was a retired architectural draftsman, estimator and specification writer for Lee, Potter and Smith Co. of Paducah, Ky. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Cairo, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Marie Miller; two sons, Jonn Miller of Olive Branch, Donn Miller of New York City, and a brother, James Miller of Spokane, Wash.
