Charles Guiling, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, March 18, 2002, at his home.
He was born July 21, 1939, in Lilbourn, Mo., son of Curtis and Lillian Fowler Guiling. He and Joel Whitledge were married Aug. 31, 1957, in Mississippi.
Charles was an independent dealer 25 years with Snap-on Tools, retiring in 1999. He attended Lynwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joel; his mother, Lillian Guiling of Cape Girardeau; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Stacey Guiling of St. Louis; two brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; a niece; two nephews; cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and an infant daughter.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery at Bloomfield, Mo., with Dr. Derek Staples officiating.
Memorials may be made to Lynwood Baptist Church Building Fund.
