CHARLES GREEN

Funeral service for Charles O. Green, 910 N. Missouri, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. David V. Dissen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Green, 73, died Sunday, Dec. 1, 1996, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation.

He was born June 27, 1923, at Charleston, son of Frank and Jessie Lee Launius Green. He and Irma Dell Owens were married June 26, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. She died Jan. 24, 1968.

Green was a truck driver with J.D. Street 17 years, and then was a salesman at Associated Building Center 12 years. He was a member of Trinity Church and Auxililary Sheriff's Association.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Rutherford Slinkard of Cape Girardeau, Martha Wilson Latimore of Humboldt, Tenn.; a brother, Frank Green of Bull Shoals, Ark.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; three stepgrandchildren; and two great-stepgrandchildren.
