SIKESTON -- Charles Howard David Garrett, 31, of Sikeston died early Saturday from a gunshot wound while working at Kellett Oil Co.
He was born April 10, 1967, at Chaffee, son of Oscar Raymond and Paula Gaye Toney Garrett.
Garrett was a clerk and station attendant at Kellett Oil Co. He had also been a cook at Bessie's Restaurant.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Garrett Jr. of Chicago, Michael Garrett of Benton; three daughters, Brittany Garrett of Chicago, Megan and Kelly Cannon of Sikeston; and his parents of Sikeston.
Also surviving are four brothers, Oscar Garrett Jr. of Ramona, Calif., Jim Garrett of Sikeston, Billy and Bobby Garrett of St. Petersburg, Fla.; five sisters, Sarah Keller of Springhill, Fla., Elizabeth Woodby of St. Petersburg, Patricia Garrett of Land O'Lakes, Fla., Mary Barnett and Carey Garrett of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with a memorial eulogy given by the family.
