EAST PRAIRIE -- Charles G. Talley Sr., 85, of East Prairie, died Saturday, March 19, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

He was born June 6, 1908, at Ripley, Tenn., son of John Will and Nanny Foster Talley.

He married Stella Mae Johnson, June 14, 1958. She died Jan. 21, 1986.

He then married Patsy Baker, Feb. 16, 1990.

Talley was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Charles Talley Jr. of Sikeston, David Talley of Camden Point, Mo., John Talley of Jamesville, Wis.; two step-sons, Roy W. Johnson of Central City, Neb., James Smith of Idaho Falls, Idaho; five daughters, Katherine Edwards of East Prairie, Louise Adams of Diehlstadt, Mo., Ellen Williams of Blodgett, Doris Wade of Somonauk, Ill., Linda Chilton of Choctaw, Okla.; three step-daughters, Mary Brown and Marie Byrnes, both of St. Louis, Billie Wargo of Allentown, Penn.; a sister, Lena Perfetti of Memphis, Tenn.; a half-sister, Willie Derrington of St. Charles, Mo.; 33 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, two grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie, with Bro. Larry Davis officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
