ALTENBURG -- Charles G. Grebing, 103, of Altenburg, formerly of Frohna, died Friday, Oct. 20, 1995, at the Perry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 20, 1892, in Altenburg, son of Karl Tobias and Emma Rust Grebing.
He was a farmer, a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, the Concordia Men's Club and had served on several boards of the church. He also served on numerous community and county organizations.
He first married Clara Metz on Aug. 29, 1920. She died April 5, 1974. He then married Agnes Schmidt Fischer Hart on May 20, 1978. She survives in Altenburg.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Raymond Grebing of Azusa, Calif., Vernon Grebing of Frohna; three daughters, Ruth Bremer of Frohna, Dorothy Lichtenegger of Jackson and Laverne Mirly of Monrovia, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.
A son, three brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, with the Rev. Luther Herman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
