PARMA -- Funeral service for Charles Freeman of Parma will be held at 2 p.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma. The Rev. Ken Yates will officiate, with burial in Rosewood Cemetery at Malden.
Freeman, 48, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1997, at his home.
He was born May 25, 1949, in Poplar Grove, Tenn., son of John Franklin and James Edna Harris Freeman. He married the former Betty Gaskins.
Freeman was a farmer, and member of the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Steven Freeman and Troy Willis of Essex, Jimmy Willis of California; four daughters, Lynn Preston of Essex, Sandie McCoy of St. Louis, Beckie Preston and Vickie Willis of Parma.
He is also survived by six brothers, Sanford Freeman of Malden, Tommy and Henry Freeman of Sikeston, Elden Freeman of Trenton, Tenn., A.J. Freeman of Kenton, Tenn., J.D. Freeman of Bell City; three sisters, Opal Roberts of Parma, Jodie Sprous of Sikeston, Mary Duck of Aurora, Ill.; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, brother, and sister.
