SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Charles F. Simpson of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles E. Buck will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Ponder Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Simpson, 79, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 4, 1913, in the McMullin community, son of William and Emma Dickerson Simpson. He and Orviline Cain were married March 15, 1926. She died Nov. 8, 1991.
Simpson was a former business manager of the Sikeston School System, former manager of Sikeston Board of Public Works, and had been manager of Sikeston Cotton Gin for many years. He was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol Simpson of San Francisco, Calif., and a sister, Adoline Marshall of Grant City.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
