Funeral service for Charles F. Grassham of Van Buren will be held at 10 a.m. today at McSpadden Funeral Chapel in Van Buren. The Rev. Dana Burris will officiate, with burial in Van Buren Masonic Cemetery.
Grassham, 72, died Monday, Jan. 10, 1994, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Sept. 16, 1921, at Bunker, son of Eugene and Lena Shaver Grassham. He and Mary Smith were married Dec. 14, 1942, in Centerville.
Grassham was a retired self-employed businessman, and formerly owned Grassham Chevrolet in Van Buren.
He was a member of Oak Grove Southern Baptist Church, and Masonic Lodge 509. He was a former member of Van Buren City Council, Van Buren Ambulance Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, and Carter County Selective Service Board. Grassham was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Grassham of Springfield; two daughters, Mary Ann McSpadden of Cape Girardeau, Marsha Acklin of Sedalia; two brothers, James and Shug Grassham of Van Buren; a sister, Martha Gossett of Van Buren, and seven grandchildren.
