SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Charles E. Vanpool of Sikeston will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel in Charleston. The Rev. A.G. Hampton will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
Vanpool, 50 years old, died Monday, April 22, 1991, in Elko, Nev.
He was born Dec. 5, 1940, at Bertrand, son of Paul Brewer and Virginia Vanpool. He and the former Sandra Elliot were married June 15, 1962.
Vanpool had lived in Sikeston since 1966, and was a driver with PPS Trucking Co.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Edward and Tim Vanpool of Sikeston, Paul Vanpool of the home; a daughter, Janella Pigg of Sikeston; his mother, Virginia Alvey of St. Louis; a sister, Betty Schmidt of St. Louis, and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
