Charles E. Neace, 55, 410 Second Street, died Thursday, Aug. 26, 1993, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born March 8, 1938, in Chester, Ill., son of George and Ann Reese Neace. On May 30, 1959, he married Deloris Uelsmann.
Neace had worked more than 30 years at Florsheim Shoe Company, and previously worked for Drury Company. He also was active in local athletics, and for nine years was commissioner for fast- and slow-pitch men's and women's softball in Southeast Missouri.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Edward Lee Neace of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Vickie Ann Kinder of Jackson; his mother of Cape Girardeau, and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel. Dave Breeden will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
